Sojung Lee (b.1995, Seoul) is a South Korean visual artist based in the Netherlands. Working with text, (moving) images, and objects, she explores the fleeting nature of the image in our society against the backdrop of digitalization. Using the notion of ‘placeholder’, she investigates images’ vulnerability and significance, attracted to how they interact with our memories and navigate temporality.
